Newsletter – Genealogical Society of Allegany County, Maryland

THE OLD PIKE POST is the Society’s quarterly newsletter that has been published since June 1984 and is distributed to all members via U.S. Mail or via email in PDF format. The newsletter contains stories of genealogical interest, upcoming events, names of new members (for networking purposes), questions from members and others, among other items.

Back issues of The Old Pike Post are available for purchase. The first six years the newsletter was published in a legal-sized format and is usually just a couple of pages long. From the seventh year forward, The Old Pike Post was published in a traditional format and is usually ten pages long. Costs are as follows:

Volumes 1 through 6 – $1.50 per issue; four issues per volume
Volumes 7 through current volume – $2.00 per issue; four issues per volume
